Synopsis:
Never confirmed to nest in Oregon, but nests in Idaho and
Nevada, and evidence from multiple locations in desert
mountain ranges, including at least 2 pairs in the Oregon Canyon Mountains
(Twin Buttes), is highly suggestive.
Habitat Associations:

Mountain Mahogany Shrubland (1378 acres)
Relative Detectability:
Fairly difficult to detect, and very difficult to find nests
which are located on or near the ground in dense
shrubs.
Challenge:
Finally confirm nesting of this species which has appeared at so
many localities where previously unknown.
